AGS Four Winds sponsors transportation of donations to AIDS victims of Zhecheng county.

On 22nd March 2007, 15 volunteers from Shanghai’s Loving Heart Association took an overnight train to Shangqiu, to spend the weekend playing sports with and teaching English to children in villages in the Zhecheng county, which is affected by the AIDS epidemic.

The volunteers took along computers, donated by Shanghai Lifelife, and large quantities of sports equipment, which was donated by Nike and an advertising company, Wieden & Kennedy, as well as many other items donated by individuals in Shanghai. All these goods were shipped at no cost to Zhecheng county, from Shanghai and Beijing by AGS Four Winds.

On behalf of the Zhecheng Succor Society, who hosted this mission, and the school children who benefited from the donations, Loving Heart Association would like to extend its sincere thanks to all those who contributed to this successful mission. AGS Skopje honours Francophone Days.

On Tuesday 20th March 2007, the French-speaking kindergarten children, together with pupils from all of the other elementary schools, joined together to celebrate Spring and their French-speaking heritage, with a combined march in the streets of Skopje.

With flowers on their heads, flags in their hands and tee shirts bearing the AGS logo, the children’s march began in the centre of town and finished in front of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia building, via the principal streets of Skopje, the infamous Macedonia Square, and the banks of the Vardar river.
The march marked the continuation of many demonstrations organized to celebrate "Francophone Days" in Macedonia.
All the children were accompanied by His Excellency, Mr Bernard VALERO, the Ambassador of France, and Mr. Johann UHRES, the Director of the Arts Centre. The children were then received by the Prime Minister, Mr. Nikola GRUEVSKI, as well as the National and Economic Ministers of Finance.

The procession finished at Skopje’s Zoo, where the children adopted and named a pony Franco, and this was done in the spirit of remembrance of the Francophone.

AGS Skopje sponsored the demonstration by supplying the tee shirts for the children.

AGS Brussels present at the International Immigration Exhibition in Utrecht.

The International Immigration Fair took place in Utrecht, Netherlands, from Saturday 10th to Sunday 11th March 2007. This fair incorporated approximately fifty exhibitors, involved in some or other way with the removals industry.

Sven Cox and Christophe Vanhaesendonck, who both joined the AGS Brussels Sales Team in 2006, represented the AGS Group at our exhibition stand where they welcomed many prospective expatriates to their new destination countries. Our team was available to answer numerous practical questions regarding move preparation and our international removals services, during the course of the weekend.

Many appointments for pre-move surveys (performed to estimate the volume of goods to be shipped) were arranged, as well as requests for quotes. This denotes the promise of a bustling summer ahead for the AGS Brussels team.

In response to this very positive outcome, the AGS Brussels team is getting ready for the new season, and Sven Cox and Christophe Vanhaesendonck, both bilingual in French and Flemish, are enhancing our team’s potential, and we hope that their dynamism will be rewarded with many commercial successes.

French Economic Year in Hungary.

The Hungarian Economic Year was previously celebrated in France in 2005. This event was inaugurated at the French Senate in March 2004, and the year 2005 saw the realization of a series of cultural, economic and political programs, where the objectives were to promote trade and investment between France and Hungary.

Following the interest created and the enthusiasm shown by French companies towards these events, the French Economic Commission in Budapest will expand on this motivation, by declaring 2007 as the French Economic Year in Hungary.

The French Economic Year is to begin in Budapest on 14 th June 2007.

A series of events, which will include conferences, demonstrations and seminars, intended for either the general public or professionals of all branches of industry (tourism, environment, medical, food and beverages, infrastructures etc.) are planned for the next year.

AGS Budapest is the preferred supplier in Hungary, and the branch manager, Ingrid Lamblin, and all the staff at AGS Budapest, are highly knowledgeable of the ins and outs and the dynamics of the international removals arena.
